I definitely have Administrator permissions.
If I Right-Click all I have is 'add permission' there is no ADD User/Group.
#ADD USER TO VMWARE VSPHERE CLIENT 6.5 HOW TO#
I wish to add a NEW user/group to the ESXI but I cannot see how to add. It's like it's trying to add a new role even though I clicked Edit role action and the dialog box says Edit Role. Under Permissions at the top level of the ESXI I have a number of User/Group or role administrator. It does not seem to be specific to this role, I've gotten this error when trying to edit several different roles, on multiple vSphere servers. On the next page, when I click Finish, I get a circled red ! on the Role name line, and if I click the circled red !, it says "Role name is already in use". In the Edit Role dialog box, I select the permissions group on the left, and select the permissions I want to add/remove on the right, then click Next. I go to Administration -> Access Control -> Roles, select the role I want to change (which is a locally created role, not one of the default roles), and click "Edit role action" (the pencil). Upgrading is managed by others, I can't do anything about it) I am running vSphere 6.0 and using the HTML5 client. Step 1: Add the user to VCenter Step 2: Assign the administrator role to that user account Step 1: log into vcenter and click on manage Step 2: click on the security & users tab Step 3: Click. Is this true are there any other document on the not available functionalities of Web Client (HTML version). This article outlines the process of adding administrative users to a VMWare 6.5 server, i assume as a user you know how to login to your VMWare VCenter web page and have access to administrator accounts. According to the below VMware document i found that ' vCenter High Availability (VCHA) ' is not yet available. I am running into a problem editing a role that feels like a bug, but I wanted to ask as a sanity check. I have a vCenter Server Appliance 6.5 and I am using the HTML version of the Web Client.
